Necromunda Dominion Battle Report: IV

This campaign is not following the rules of Necromunda’s campaign exactly. The dominion campaign table has a minimum of 3, where we are just two players. While i’ve played several miniature skirmish games, this is my first skirmish campaign. This is both of our first time with Necromunda. While we have been slowly collecting the books for our gangs, we did not start with them. We are not playing or adhering stictly and having to modify as we go

The Gangs being played are the Escher Gang (aka Blades)  and the Ash Waste Nomads (Ash Catch Ems)

Scenario: Duneskuttler Hunt

Territory played for: The Mine Workings

Empty mines, full of resources, out in the Ash Waste. It would be a good get, if the Blades could deal with whatever made the suddenly Orlocks leave it. They prepared their bikes and drove through the Caustic winds into the Waste. They saw no sign of the Orlocks. Just the drag marks that lead to holes in the ground.

The Ash Catch Em’s knew of the beast. It would be a good catch to trade. Tracking it all the way to a small piece of the Arthromite Warrens. It wasn’t hard, just follow the body parts. Along the dirt ridge, they peered out to scan the landscape. Targin saw the Blades bikes from afar. He gave the signal, the others spread out. If it’s a hunt Catch Em’s wanted, it’s a hunt they will get.

Bikes roared. Helamites skittered around the dirt rocks. They were both aware of the other presence and the danger in the waste. Both crews debated when to start looking for the beast, before or after the bullets start flying. Then Carly threw a grenade

It bounced and barely touched the Catch Ems. They fired back. Ey’Ey seriously injurying Bev during the fight. Mister Tues aimed at Targin with her Toxic weapon. This time she thought it would be different, this time the toxin would do it’s job. It did not

Targin took out his venomcaster and sprayed it around as much as he could. Someone coughed up blood. Someone woke the beast. When a hungry Duneskuttler comes out into a firefight, then you’ve been through a special kind of hell. The beast struck several nearby Blades. Carly was critically injury. Bev and her girls pulled her away. They look back to try to see the Ash Catch ‘Ems in the wind. Sand picking up in all directions. All that stood at the entrance of the miens was a single Dune Skutter chewing.

Next Time: The Gunk Tank
