Thoughts On “The Illustrated Eric” by Terry Pratchett

175 words or less, thoughts and feelings that I had after reading the book

It’s difficult for me to discuss a comedy book, much less a parody of Faust which I was not aware of what that was until Eric. Eric still has the same tongue and cheek satire that Terry Pratchett is known for in his Discworld stories. I want to say most of the time, I can get and enjoy the comedy. Eric is still able to bring creative twists and points on hell, boredom, history, and life. There are fun memorable characters with settings that were easy to picture due the writing and satire of classic Greek epics and other classic stories. Jack Kirby’s art brought even more life to the scenes in its own memorable way. The Discworld series is one of those series, I have come more to enjoy and find as a welcoming return to a strange funny world.
